HACU & Grow with Google HSI Career Readiness

In partnership with Grow with Google, The Hispanic Association of Colleges and Universities (HACU) is launching the Grow with Google HSI Career Readiness Program at NMSU. You’re working hard to achieve your career goals, and for that, we’re here to help you transition successfully toward professional life. This Career Readiness Program sets you up with the digital skills needed to land a job and thrive in the modern workplace. All NMSU students are welcome to participate.

Below is a step-by-step process of how students can participate and register their account on the HACU/Grow with Google (GwG) learning management system (LMS).

Step 1: Students can set up an account at the Talent LMS by selecting “sign-up” and completing the registration form. This option is ideal for students not taking a course with one of the HACU/GwG professors, but who would like to participate. The link to register is: https://nmsu- hacugwg.talentlms.com/index

Step 2: Once an account is created, sign in to the Talent LMS, then choose a core lesson from one of the available pathways. A core lesson should take less than 1 hour to view.

Step 3: Watch the video and follow along with the activity. After watching the video(s) you might be asked to complete a quiz or a short survey. Once the survey and core lesson is completed, you will navigate through helpful links by selecting “Completed. Let’s Continue”, and “Course completed!”. Once those steps are finished a “Congratulations” certificate will appear.

Step 4: After completing a core lesson, students are encouraged to return to the Talent LMS Dashboard. From the dashboard you can monitor your progress, access certificates, view the course catalog, and explore other pathways. Students can use a screenshot or picture of the “congratulations” notification in their designated Canvas assignment (if this activity is required for a class).

Ethical Statement: As part of the HACU/Grow with Google HSI Career Readiness Program, neither HACU nor Google will use your information without your consent. Your information will not be sold to a third party. You will not be required to register for a Google account. Choosing to do is your decision. You can watch the videos and do the work without a Google account if that is your preference.
